Obviously Dream Theater and Marillion's general sound took a lot from Rush and Genesis respectively, but they also mirror them in other ways. Dream Theater is perhaps the most popular and heaviest modern prog band like Rush was for most of it's existence, and most people believe that Marillion's best work came with their original singer like with Genesis.
